Introducing Our “Studio Evenings” Candle…

I'm really excited to introduce to you our very first wild card item (aka non-art…or is it) in the shop. I was inspired last fall to create a custom scent that would encapsulate what I love about working in studio day to day…. the woody smell of canvases, a new set of birch panels, and the interesting, sweet scent of oil paint. What we came up captures just that, and we’ve titled it '“Studio Evenings”.

I initially wanted to create something custom to be used as a gift for clients who’ve trusted me with painting commissions or have purchased work…. There's nothing like making a scent memory along with a special occasion—like when you receive a painting you’ve waited patiently on and get to hang in your home for the first time! I still have candles (just the vessels now with little bits of wax left) from when we got married that take me right back to that time.

After working through a handful of candle concoctions, I love what we created so much that I wanted to carry these beauties in the shop.

Notes are amber, teakwood, and everything I could dream in a scent. Our candles are hand poured in Nashville, TN with 100% soy wax and 60 hours of burn time. You can purchase one here. When in stock, our candles usually ship within 1-3 business days.

Tip: The first burn is the most important, trim wick to 1/4 inch, and allow an even pool of wax to form for 3-4 hours before blowing out. Trim wick before every use.
